Bank Alfalah Limited is a private bank in Pakistan owned by the Abu Dhabi Group. Bank Alfalah was incorporated on June 21, 1997 as a public limited company under the Companies Ordinance 1984. On the 16th of May, 2005 Bank Alfalah formally took over the Bangladesh operations of Shamil Bank of Bahrain for US $17.88 million and renamed it to Bank Alfalah. This was the first branch of the bank outside Pakistan. The Bank has an international presence in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain and a representative office in the UAE. The bank works to be a premier financial services organization, operating both locally and globally, offering a complete range of financial products and services to diverse segments under one umbrella.
